So, I finally bought Beseler.Net back...and due to losing all my hard drive files, I have nothing to work off of. So, I need to rebuild my source files and scripts to actually make anything 'interesting'.
So, in the meantime, I've made a table of squares that highlight. Mostly this was just an exercise to refresh my memory on some basic HTML and Javascript stuff. Mission accomplished.

UPDATE:

So, this here is my first try at trying to use distance on a grid with JavaScript. Really though, this code is not that elegant. It's basically just a fall-through switch and I manually calculate the possible nodes. Great when I only want to go 3 spaces. But what if I wanted to move...10? That would be a long mess of + and -'s.
Well, I have come up with a solution which will actually allow me to use the "distance" from the center square. Take a look!

Update [3/14]: I've been playing around with some other elements. Just putting up some links here.
